Welcome to The Leukemia Cup Regatta!

The St. Joseph's/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta is more than boats and crew racing.  In Savannah, it is a community coming together to help fight leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers. 

Our 2012 Leukemia Cup Regatta is September 15-16 at the Savannah Yacht Club.  Please join us at our 2012 Leukemia Cup Regatta to help us raise a sail and find a cure  . 

For those of you who have sailed with us in the past, you will be pleased to know we have expanded opportunities for our one-design sailors this year. We invite them to sail 2 days.  Leukemia Cup Regatta is Saturday September 15.  The Winner of the Leukemia Cup is the Boat with the highest fundraising total plus their race score.  Sunday, September 16, is the Wassaw Cup Regatta, which will be scored on two days of sailing with no fundraising handicap.

The 2012 St. Joseph's Candler Leukemia Cup Executive Committee and Sailing Committee along with the Savannah Yacht Club have agreed to allow one designs sailors who register to participate in our 2012 Leukemia Cup Regatta on Saturday, September 15th to stay over and also participate in the Savannah Yacht Club's Wassaw Cup Regatta on Sunday, September 16th. In order to participate in the Wassaw Cup Regatta, sailors must register for the St. Joseph's Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta, however; no additional registration fee will be required. Results for the Wassaw Cup Regatta will be based on the cumulative "on the water" results for the Leukemia Cup and Wassaw Cup Regattas. The St. Joseph's Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta results (as in previous years) will be based on a combination of fund raising and on the water results for Saturday's Leukemia Cup Regatta only; with the emphasis being on fund raising. The overall goal of our St. Joseph's Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta is to raise both awareness and dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for research for a cure to these devastating diseases.

Leukemia Cup Kickoff Party.  June 13th, 6:30pm.  Guest Speaker Author and Avid Sailor our Friend From Hilton Head, John Rumsey. Sailors of all Ages are Welcome for the Leukemia Cup Kickoff Party, at the Savannah Yacht Club.  Sailors do not want to miss this celebration!  

Yacht Hop.  August 25, 5:30pm.  The 3rd Annual Yacht Hop. We will be hosting the 3rd Annual Yacht Hop at the Savannah Yacht Club in memory of one of Savannah's finest Sailors, John McIntosh, Sr. The Yacht Hop showcases some of the area’s finest yachts. Each yacht features hors d’oeuvres prepared by Savannah’s premiere chefs.  Guest will be able to visit Yachts, their captains and enjoy the food and conversations with the chefs and their friends.  Tickets are $75 and will be available to purchase on this website prior to the Event.

The Leukemia Cup Regatta Weekend of Events, organized by members of the Savannah Yacht Club, spans five days, has 700 participants, 60 sponsors and has raised over $3.2 million since its inception in 1997.  It is the 2^nd largest Leukemia Regatta in the United States.We are so proud that the 2011 St. Joseph's/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta raised a record $340,000!  Take a look at our recent ad thanking our sponsors for all their support.
